What’s on in Windermere and the Lake District, July 2018

There are of course hundreds of cultural events and special occasions all year round in Cumbria. However, when it comes to what’s on in Windermere and the Lake District in July, there’s plenty to talk about. With farmers parading their livestock, athletes showing their competitive side and musicians performing in a wide variety of genres.

Potfest in the Park, Hutton-in-the-Forest, 27th – 29th July 2018

Kendal Calling, 26th – 29th July 2018

Penrith Agricultural Show, 28th July 2018

Another traditional country show in the Lake District is the Penrith Agricultural Show. It’s a family event with sheepdogs, horses and cattle, rabbits and poultry. One that has been promoting the British food and farming since 1833.

Cumbria Steam Gathering, 28th – 29th July 2018

If you’re interested in historic machinery, then the Cumbria Steam Gathering is about everything steam related. Featuring tractors and steam rollers, to garden mowers. There are arena displays too, such as daredevil quad bikes and even a steel band.
