With Valentine’s Day in the Lake District coming up, what better time to book a table at one of Cumbria’s many restaurants. May we suggest L’Enclume in Grasmere or maybe the Lamplighter Dining Rooms and Porto in Windermere.
If fine dining is out of your budget, then the likes of the Drunken Duck near Hawkshead or the Crafty Baa pub if you prefer somewhere closer. Alternatively, there are plenty of fish and chip shops if you want something quick and easy.
Have a night out at the theatre
As well as the local cinemas, for those traditional nights out, you can also take in a local theatre production during your romantic break. It’s currently mid-season for Theatre by the Lakes, with tickets selling fast.
There are however plenty of shows to choose from, such as “High Drama & Dance” and “Mallory Towers”.
Take a walk around the Lakes
Watching the sunset over the water is one of the most romantic things to do in the Lake District. Going for a walk in the Lake District doesn’t cost any money either, leaving you with more to spend during your spa break.
