The Lake District during August Bank Holiday breaks is often a time to enjoy a host of activities and events. With our regular blog posts giving you ideas of things to do in Windermere and throughout Cumbria.
However, this year things are a little different. As you may imagine, there are a number of high-profile festivals that are no longer taking place. While smaller, more localised shows and events are still left hanging in the balance.
As it stands, many local pubs and restaurants have re-opened, as too, have some of the Lake District’s main attractions. The grounds of Muncaster Castle, Windermere Lake Cruises and the Lakes Aquarium to name a few. All of which operating with socially responsible measures in place, leaving you to enjoy at your leisure.

All 4 rooms are online to book in advance, although availability is fast running out. Each spa suite comes with an outdoor hot tub as standard. While facilities within the rooms themselves look you’ve stepped into your own private hotel.
In keeping with the rest of Aphrodite’s Lodge, there has been meticulous attention to detail, while maintaining a personal feel. The new spa suites are spacious, with a modern and stylish interior that creates an air of tranquillity.
The last few months have been testing times for many of us, as such, we wish to make your time away as special as you are. As well as new rooms, other touches currently available include complimentary breakfast in bed and food hampers you can order during your visit.
