There’s still time to sign up for this year’s Race for Life in the Lake District. Taking place on the 14th July within the outskirts of the Lake District at Carlisle. This is your chance to join 1000’s of other runners up and down the country. Joining together to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Penrith Show – 20th July 2019

Agricultural shows are popular within Cumbria, with several taking place throughout the year. They are also a long-standing tradition, with the Penrith Show has been running since 184. It gives visitors the chance to embrace rural life, while locals have the chance to show off their produce and farmers to gather with their livestock.

Coniston Country Fair – 21st July 2019

If you miss the Penrith Show, then you don’t have to wait long until the next country fair. In fact, just across the water from our Windermere spa hotel Coniston Country Fair is on Sunday 21st July. Another popular event in the Lake District and again one which focusses on Cumbrian traditions. If you fancy getting involved, how about trying your hand at some Westmorland Wrestling?
