Windermere is home to the famous lake of the same name which is 10.5 miles long and offers a wide choice of attractions including boat trips from nearby Bowness Bay.
The Lake District was once home to famous poets and writers, including William Wordsworth and Samuel Coleridge, who were inspired by the breath-taking scenery to write some of their most famous works.
